Lychee is having a moment. The floral, perfumey fruit that’s been a bubble tea and dessert-shop staple across Asia for decades is finally showing up in American sparkling water, but there are still only a handful of cans that taste like real lychee rather than generic “tropical.” We compared the three worth buying in 2026.
First look: this roundup is based on verified labels, current pricing, and aggregated drinker reception. Disclosure: SipVetted has a commercial relationship with Swiiyo, one of the brands below. See our affiliate disclosure. We ranked it on the same criteria as everything else, and it isn’t our top pick.
How we evaluate
For flavored sparkling water we look at four things: what makes it taste like lychee (real juice or flavoring), how it’s sweetened, calories and sugar, and price per ounce. We weigh those against what thousands of drinkers report. If we can’t verify a number, it doesn’t go in the table.
1. Sanzo Lychee: Best Real Fruit
Sanzo is the Asian-American sparkling water brand that put lychee on mainstream US shelves, and it’s still the one to beat on ingredients. Each 12 oz can contains 7% lychee juice, with 25 calories and 4g of sugar, sweetened with a little cane sugar and monk fruit instead of artificial sweeteners. Drinkers describe it as floral and fragrant without the syrupy edge of canned lychee juice.
The catch is price. At about $35 for 12 cans, it costs nearly $3 a can, roughly double the other two.
2. Swiiyo Aura Rose Lychee: Best Zero Sugar
Swiiyo’s Aura line calls itself a “beauty sparkling water,” and Rose Lychee is its signature flavor: lychee layered with rose, a pairing common in Taiwanese and Hong Kong desserts that’s still rare in American cans. It has 0 calories and 0g sugar, and each 10.5 oz can adds 62mg of vitamin C (69% of the daily value) and 31mg of grape seed extract.
Three things to know before you buy:
- It’s sweetened with sucralose, and the flavor is artificial. If you avoid either, Sanzo is the better pick.
- The “beauty” dose is modest. The vitamin C is meaningful, but 31mg of grape seed extract is well below the 150–300mg used in most skin studies. Buy it as a zero-sugar sparkling water with a bonus, not as a supplement.
- The cans are smaller. At 10.5 oz, the regular $17.98 price per 12-pack works out to about $1.50 a can, or $0.14 per ounce.
It’s sold directly at swiiyo.com, where a launch price of $14 a case runs through September 30. For more on the whole Aura line, see our Swiiyo Aura review.
3. Chi Forest Lychee: Easiest to Find
Chi Forest (sold as Genki Forest in China) is the biggest name in Asian zero-sugar sparkling water and the easiest lychee can to find in the US. It’s in variety packs at warehouse clubs and major grocers, and on Amazon. It has 0 calories, sweetened with erythritol and sucralose, in 11.16 oz cans.
Drinker reviews call it sweet and candy-like, which fans love and others find a bit much. Erythritol can cause stomach upset for some people in larger amounts. Prices vary widely by retailer and pack, usually landing between $1 and $1.50 a can.
Which should you buy?
Buy Sanzo if you want real fruit and don’t mind a few calories and a higher price. Buy Swiiyo Aura Rose Lychee if you want zero sugar, a floral rose note nobody else offers, and some vitamin C along the way. Buy Chi Forest if you want the most convenient zero-calorie lychee can and like it on the sweeter side.
